Insurance and Financing Options

We’re committed to making top-tier therapy accessible and affordable by working with your out-of-network insurance benefits. Our goal is to find a rate that works for your situation while providing exceptional care.

To simplify the process, our team handles insurance claims on your behalf. Depending on your benefits, you may only need to meet a one-time deductible, after which you’ll likely only pay a copay per session. This approach allows you to access highly specialized therapy that’s largely covered by your insurance, without the limitations of self-pay.

Our rates are competitive for the area, and for those with financial need, we offer a limited number of sliding scale discounts. Let us help you explore options that make therapy a valuable, affordable investment in your well-being.

Therapy helps clients achieve a variety of meaningful goals, these include: fostering safety, security, comfort, and healing, as well as building stronger intimacy and thriving bonds. Our couples work is designed to support a range of goals, whether couples seek to determine if their relationship is salvageable or to deepen their bond and ensure that each partner’s needs are met. Our goal is to consistently provide a nurturing environment where couples who may not feel safe with each other can rebuild their connection, rewiring their relationship dynamics to reach each partner in ways that honor their most vulnerable and significant needs.

The length of individual therapy at Core Relationships is guided by the client’s pace and needs. Each journey is unique, as diving deeply into personal growth often brings up blocks and obstacles that can vary in the time they take to work through. Therapy duration depends on how long it takes to build emotional safety and address any traumas or wounds underlying these blocks. We focus on creating a secure environment where clients can work through these issues at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for them.

The duration of couples therapy at Core Relationships depends on each couple’s unique needs and the pace at which they progress through the stages of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT has three stages, and if safety is established quickly in each stage, meaningful progress can often be made within a few months. However, if one or both partners have relational wounds or trauma, additional time may be needed to establish a sense of safety before addressing deeper relationship patterns. Our goal is to create a supportive environment that allows each partner to feel secure as they work toward healing and connection.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)  attends to unprocessed traumas that your body has stored as “unsafe,” which may lead to trauma responses, heightened vigilance, and protective behaviors beyond conscious control. EMDR sends a physiological signal that it is safe to process these traumas, allowing access to memories, fears, and perceived threats that continue to impact you. Adjunctive EMDR, a brief 3-4 session model, focuses on specific blocks that may arise in individual or couples therapy. By fostering safety around these blocks, EMDR helps access underlying wounds, enabling you to better understand and meet your needs, improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and reduce anxiety, depression, and physical health impacts.

At Core Relationships, we neither encourage nor discourage divorce. Instead, our approach is to support each couple’s unique intentions and goals. For couples who come to therapy with divorce in mind, we use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to address core issues, which can help create a more amicable resolution. Especially in cases where children are involved, this process can reduce conflict and make space for emotions, fostering an outcome that prioritizes the well-being of the family. For couples who are not considering divorce, our focus is solely on guiding you toward deeper connection, intimacy, and a stronger bond, using a scientifically backed approach that aligns with your aspirations.

Yes! It is not only possible, but often a great choice for those who cannot attend therapy in person but truly desire to invest in themselves. While building the therapeutic bond may take a bit longer in a virtual setting, our clients are fully seen and supported, allowing meaningful progress to be made regardless of the medium.

We encourage clients to first explore their out-of-network insurance benefits, as this can often provide a significant amount of coverage of the fees. If no out-of-network benefits are available, we have had success in arranging single-case agreements with some insurance providers to help secure coverage. For clients paying out of pocket and facing financial need, we offer sliding scale discounts to make therapy more accessible.

Absolutely not! Our therapists are passionate about this work not because they are without wounds, trauma, or triggers, but precisely because they know the impacts of these challenges personally and feel passionate about the healing process. We believe that no one should feel alone in their struggles. Like everyone, we have attachment stories filled with ups and downs that shape who we are. As therapists, our own experiences enable us to sit with true pain, provide support and belonging, and help create a space for vulnerability, connection, and transformation—the kind of village that we all need on our healing journeys.
