Trauma Aware

Emotionally Honest

“The desire for growth fuels the courage to ask tough questions and do the deeper work that leads to lasting transformation.”

You appear to have it all together, yet internally feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. The work I do with individuals and couples focuses on breaking unhelpful patterns, strengthening communication, and creating meaningful, lasting change. For those who are used to showing up for others and holding everything together, our sessions offer a space to better understand what’s underneath—and begin shifting it.

Meet Donny

Donny works with individuals and couples who want to better understand the underlying forces shaping their patterns. Whether facing anxiety, relationship challenges, emotional disconnection, or ingrained habits that no longer serve them, his work centers on addressing the root causes—not just the surface-level symptoms. His approach is structured, insight-driven, and practical. He works with clients to explore how their patterns developed, how they show up in day-to-day life and relationships, and what needs to shift for things to feel different.

Donny's Approach

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) guides us in understanding and processing our emotions to foster secure and meaningful connections. Together, we explore the patterns in how you experience and respond to feelings, cultivating clarity, balance, and insight. Through this work, we support the deepening of your relationships and the development of lasting emotional resilience.

Psychodynamic Therapy helps us understand the deeper patterns shaping our thoughts, feelings, and relationships. By exploring how past experiences and unconscious beliefs influence the present, this approach creates space to uncover what’s been hidden, heal unresolved wounds, and build healthier ways of relating—to ourselves and to others.

Parts work is a therapeutic approach that helps us recognize and understand the different “parts” of ourselves—thoughts, emotions, and impulses that may feel conflicting or stuck. By connecting with these parts,we can heal inner conflicts, gain self-understanding, and make more conscious choices. It supports building inner harmony, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships with ourselves and others.

FAQ

How do I know which therapist is right for me?
You don’t have to figure that out alone. We take time to get a feel for who you are and what kind of connection will help you open up and grow. Matching people well is something we’re known for — and if it doesn’t feel right, we’ll talk about it and find the person who does.
That’s completely okay. The fit between you and your therapist matters more than anything else. If at any point you feel someone else on our team might be a better match, you can reach out to us support@corerelationships.com and our intake coordinator will reach out to initiate a smooth transition. Our goal is for you to get the care that feels right for you — even if that means working with another therapist here.
Therapy at Core isn’t about getting advice — it’s about getting to the heart of why things feel stuck, so the answers start to come from within you. We help you slow down, notice what’s really happening underneath, and make sense of it together.
At times, we’ll offer guidance or a new way of seeing something, but the goal isn’t to direct your life — it’s to help you trust your own voice and move through relationships with more clarity, confidence, and calm.

We’re not here to bandage the symptoms. We’re here to stop the bleeding—for good.
